Troops Neutralize Terrorists, Recover Arms In Borno

In a significant breakthrough in the battle against terrorism, the Nigerian Army deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Borno State has recorded remarkable achievements.

On Wednesday, March 26, 2024, troops operating in the North East, in conjunction with Hybrid Forces, carried out a highly successful clearance operation in the Gori general area of Gwoza Local Government Area in Borno State.

During the operation, one terrorist was neutralized, and a substantial amount of arms, ammunition, and rustled cattle were recovered from identified Boko Haram/Islamic State of West Africa Province enclaves.

The recovered items included 2 AK-47 rifles, 38 rounds of 7.62 mm special ammunition, AK-47 magazines, an Improvised Explosive Device, and a motorcycle.

The Nigerian Army continues its relentless efforts to clear terrorists from the region, with troops sustaining offensive operations to ensure the safety and security of the affected areas.
