Troops Rescue 44 Women And Children From Terrorists’ Den In Borno

Toops of Operation Lake Sanity IIII, operating under Operation Hadin Kai, successfully rescued 44 individuals, including women, children, and elderly citizens, from the clutches of insurgents in Timbuktu Triangle, located in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The rescue operation, which took place on Saturday, April 20, 2024, saw the troops of Sector 2, Special Forces, in close collaboration with HYBRID and Civilian Joint Task Force, effectively subdue ISWAP fighters entrenched in the area. The coordinated efforts of these forces led to the liberation of 28 children, 14 women, and 2 men who had been held captive by the insurgents.

The operation resulted in no military casualties, highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of the troops involved. Sources familiar with the mission emphasized the unwavering resilience and determination exhibited by the troops throughout the operation.
