Two Suspected Kidnappers Apprehended In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully apprehended two suspected kidnappers in collaboration with local hunters, as announced on Monday.

According to the statement released by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, the police and hunters acted on timely information on Sunday, leading to the arrest of the two individuals who were on the command’s wanted list for allegedly kidnapping Saddam Ahmadu from Belel in Maiha Local Government Area and Buba Adamu from Shani LGA in Borno State.

The suspects, identified as Ahmed Muhammad, 37 years old from Song LGA, and Muhammed Haruna, 25 years old from Jambutu in Yola North LGA, were apprehended at their hideout in Ngurore, Yola South LGA, after collecting a ransom of N4,700,000 from the victims’ relatives.

During the operation, the police recovered an AK-47 assault rifle along with 25 rounds of live ammunition from the suspects.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended the Police Crack Squad and the hunters for their effective community policing approach, which led to the successful arrest of the suspected kidnappers and the recovery of the weapon, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
