The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) and the Lake Chad Research Institute (LCRI) have agreed to explore collaboration opportunities in research and capacity building.
Acting Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAID, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, assured the LCRI management of the university’s commitment to a strong partnership, encouraging a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster the collaboration.
The LCRI management, led by Executive Director Professor Baba Gana Jugudum Kabir, congratulated Professor Mele on his appointment and expressed delight at the opportunity to collaborate.
He assured the University of maximum cooperation and support, while requesting collaboration in capacity building and research grants. Both parties reiterated their dedication to a fruitful partnership, building on their existing cordial relationship.
