Vice President Kashim Shettima has emphasized the need for stronger ties between the federal government and traditional institutions, highlighting their crucial role in national unity and stability.
During a visit to Ningi Emirate on Friday in Bauchi State, VP Shettima offered condolences for the late Emir, HRH Alhaji Yunusa Muhammed DanYaya, and congratulated the newly installed Emir, HRH Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya.
He praised traditional institutions as custodians of culture, values, and history, and emphasized their importance in maintaining national unity and societal stability.
VP Shettima also highlighted the federal government’s commitment to engaging royal fathers as key stakeholders in national development and social cohesion.
In a separate visit to Kaduna State, VP Shettima commiserated with the Kaduna State Government and family of the late Hon. Justice Tanimu Zailani, former Chief Judge of Kaduna State, on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
