Troops of the Forward Operating Base Molai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai, have rescued a woman and her three children from the clutches of Boko Haram terrorists in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to an intelligence source, the troops laid an ambush at a logistic crossing point along the Yuwe-Komala road, leading to a fierce gun battle with the terrorists.

The troops emerged victorious, forcing the terrorists to flee in disarray, abandoning their family members, properties, and ammunition.

The rescued family consists of Aisha Usman (24), and her three daughters, Hauwa (8), Binta (6), and Amina (2 years and three months).

Preliminary investigations revealed that Aisha was forcefully abducted by Boko Haram in 2014 during an attack on her home in Hantsa village, Gulak district, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

She was taken to the Njimiya camp of Boko Haram in Sambisa Forest, where she was forcibly married to a terrorist and had three children.

The rescued family is currently in military custody for profiling and further necessary action.
