YAN Hosts Youth Stakeholders Meeting, Foster Peace, Unity And Progress

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Borno State Chapter, under the leadership of Speaker Tijjani Abubakar, hosted a significant Youth Stakeholders meeting on Sunday, the 11th of February, 2023.

The meeting was chaired by Comr. Mahmud Muhmmad, P.A to the Vice President FRN, who is the Chairman Youth Stakeholders Forum, the meeting focused on developmental interactions, challenges among the youth as well discussed ways forward.

The primary focus of the meeting centered on discussions regarding peace, unity, and progress among the youth. The Chairman of the National Youth Council, Borno State Chapter, Kaka Lawan Bundi, and other esteemed attendees, including Hon. Mohammed Lawan Bukar, Comr. Sadiq K. Abubakar, and Comr. Shettima Umar, actively participated in developmental conversations addressing challenges faced by the youth.

The Host, Comr. Tijjani Abubakar, emphasized the importance of unity and progress, urging the youth to come together under a single umbrella for collective success. He highlighted the necessity of supporting government initiatives for youth development but emphasized that such support is only possible when unity prevails.

Contributors echoed the sentiments of unity, with Comr. Mohammed Lawan Bukar stressing the consequences of disunity on the youth’s progress. He urged participants to collaborate in addressing issues such as education and engaging those who did not have access to formal education through government channels.

Key speakers, including Chairman of NYCN, Comr. Sadik, and Comr. Mahmud Lawan, emphasized the need for unity and togetherness, urging participants to harmonize their interests and overcome differences.

In response, Comr. Mahmud Muhammad reiterated the call for collaboration, assuring that every opportunity should be an occasion to remember and support fellow youth. He commended the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum for appointing youth in their respective cabinets.

The meeting adjourned to March, where the implementation processes of the discussed issues will be scrutinized. The gathering is expected to accommodate other youth organizations, and a communique will be made public to summarize the outcomes.
