Yemi-Esan Retires As Head Of Service August 14

The Head of the Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, will retire on August 14, 2024.

This was disclosed on Wednesday in Abuja by the Director, Communications in her office, Mohammed Ahmed, during a conversation with media executives in commemoration of the 2024 Civil Service Week Celebrations.

Mohammed said the briefing was the last Yemi-Esan would be superintending as the HoCSF.

Yemi-Esan will be 60 years old on August 14 this year, the mandatory retirement age for civil servants in core Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

This year’s civil service week had the theme ‘Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality and Relevant Learning in Africa’.

The immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari on September 18, 2019 appointed Yemi-Esan as the Acting HoCSF following the removal of the former HOCSF, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita.

Yemi-Esan, who was later on March 4, 2020, inaugurated, was then serving as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
