The Yobe State Government has proposed a total budget of N515.5 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.
Governor Mai Mala Buni presented the budget before the Yobe State House of Assembly on Thursday, describing it as a plan aimed at consolidating development gains and completing ongoing projects across the state.
According to the governor, the 2026 budget will focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, sports, and security, among others.
Buni said the government would prioritize the completion of all ongoing projects while embarking on new ones that would impact the lives of citizens.
“In the healthcare sector, we plan to build a new General Hospital in Potiskum and establish a Renal Dialysis Center in Gashu’a to enhance medical services and reduce referrals outside the state,” the governor said.
He added that the administration remained committed to improving infrastructure, promoting youth development through sports, and enhancing agricultural productivity to achieve food security.
Buni assured the Assembly of his government’s prudent management of resources, pledging transparency and accountability in implementing the budget.
