Yobe Govt Commissions Fully Equipped Police Station

Yobe State Government, in collaboration with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and UNDP Nigeria, has on wednesday commissioned a newly constructed police station in Buni Yadi.

The Security Adviser to Yobe Governor, Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam (Rtd), led the delegation at the commissioning ceremony.

Present were Yobe Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed; Brig. Gen. M.C.E. Ejike, Commander Sector 2 JTF (North East) Operation Hadin Kai; and UNDP Team Leader, Mr. Mathew Alao.

The fully furnished police station, with staff quarters and state-of-the-art equipment, aims to enhance community security and resilience among returnees.

UNDP’s Alao thanked the Yobe Government for collaboration and urged effective utilization of the facility.

CP Ahmed assured proper maintenance, while Brig. Gen. Ejike encouraged police personnel to improve service delivery.

SEMA’s Executive Secretary reaffirmed commitment to mobilizing resources for post-conflict recovery and reintegration.

Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam assured continued investment in security, a top priority of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration.
