Zulum launches empowerment programme for 5000 GSM marketers in Borno

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has launched a major empowerment programme for 5,000 marketers at the GSM Market in Maiduguri.

The one-billion-naira scheme forms a key part of Governor Zulum’s strategy for human capital development and post-conflict recovery.

Trainees have been categorised into three groups, with the programme designed to develop the skills of young people through digital and innovative methods.

This initiative underscores that Borno State is firmly on a path not only to recovery but also to prosperity.

The programme, which was unveiled on Friday, is part of the state government’s post-insurgency economic recovery and livelihood support initiatives aimed at rebuilding local economies and reducing unemployment.
