Zulum Sets Up 16-member Delegation For 2025 Christian Pilgrimage

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the constitution of a 16-member state delegation for the 2025 Christian pilgrimage.

The approval was announced in a statement on Tuesday in Maiduguri by the governor’s spokesperson, Dauda Iliya.

According to the statement, the delegation will be led by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state, Bishop John Bakeni, while Rev. Iliya Ndirmbita will serve as the deputy head of delegation.

Other members of the delegation are Barr. Simon C. Malgwi, Hon. Samson Yoksa Dibal, Hon. Kwapchi Bata, Mr. Ugochukwu Oko Ike (Go Easy), Engr. Ngita Hassan Mshelia, Mrs. Lydia Gora and Mrs. Wasini Yakubu.

Also on the list are Mr. Hassan Anjili Malgwi, Hon. Christopher Godwin Akaba, Alfred Yahaya Bwala, Mustapha Bulama, Hon. Tarpaya Asarya, Mr. Luka Apaqu Mussa, while Elder Lawan J. Rangi Ndirmbita will serve as secretary.

Iliya said Governor Zulum congratulated the members of the delegation and urged them to ensure a smooth and successful conduct of the 2025 pilgrimage exercise.

He added that the delegation will be formally inaugurated at a later date.
