Fintiri Distances Self From PDP Decision To Expel FCT Minister Wike

Adamawa State Governor and Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2025 Elective National Convention, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has dissociated himself from the decision of the PDP to expel the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Governor Fintiri on Saturday described the expulsion as not being in the best interest of the party and stated that he would not support any action capable of plunging the PDP into further crisis.

“As a faithful party member, my position is clear: I stand for the peace and stability of the PDP, and I will not support anything that could lead to its disintegration. I believe that peace and reconciliation are the only ways forward for our great party,” he said.

He called on all party stakeholders to work towards healing divisions and fostering unity, noting that as a committed party man, he would continue to support initiatives that promote peace, stability, and progress within the PDP.

The Governor reiterated that his position is guided by the desire for reconciliation and assured that he would remain actively engaged in efforts to maintain harmony and strengthen cohesion within the party.
