The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has announced the outcome of its House of Representatives primary elections held across the state, declaring winners in all six federal constituencies.
The Chairman of the Gombe State House of Representatives and Senate Primary Elections Committee, Mallam Labiru Musa Kafur, made the announcement on Sunday at a press briefing in Gombe, saying the exercise was conducted in line with the APC constitution and the Electoral Act 2026.
He said the party adopted the direct primary mode, with accreditation based on verified membership registers and party cards, while security agencies and observers monitored proceedings across all voting centres.
According to him, the exercise was peaceful, orderly and transparent, with results collated and certified at designated centres before submission to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
In Akko Federal Constituency, Usman A. Bello Kumo emerged winner with 21,813 votes.
In Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, Ali Isa JC secured victory with 23,362 votes, while in Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency, Jamilu Ahmed Shabewa polled 28,144 votes to win.
For Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency, Saddam Bello was declared winner with 54,260 votes.
In Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency, Fatima Binta Bello emerged unopposed with 13,824 votes, while in Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency, Inuwa Garba also won with 23,840 votes.
Kafur said the process reflected strong internal democracy within the APC, adding that the transparent conduct of the primaries had strengthened party unity ahead of the 2026 general elections.
He commended the party leadership in Gombe State, security agencies, and party members for ensuring a peaceful exercise, while reaffirming the committee’s readiness to submit the certified results to the APC National Working Committee for ratification.
The committee said it remained committed to consolidating internal democracy and ensuring credible candidate selection for the party’s electoral success.
