Inuwa Yahaya Launches APC Digital Registration in Gombe

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has formally flagged off the All Progressives Congress (APC) digital membership registration and revalidation exercise in the state, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s structure and enhance its electoral readiness.

The governor launched the exercise on Tuesday shortly after revalidating his membership at the APC State Secretariat in Gombe. He was registered by the APC registration agent for Jekadafari Ward, Alhaji Ukasha Hussaini, in the presence of the ward chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Dan Gombe, and other party officials.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the digital registration and revalidation initiative was a landmark innovation that would accurately capture the true numerical strength of the APC and consolidate its dominance at all levels.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the national leadership of the party for introducing the e-registration system, noting that the use of National Identity Numbers (NIN), Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) and APC membership cards as requirements would enhance credibility, transparency and ensure that only genuine party members are captured.

The governor urged APC members and supporters across the state to actively participate in the exercise and take advantage of the opportunity to obtain digital certification as bona fide members of the party.

He assured that adequate arrangements had been made to ensure a seamless, inclusive and hitch-free registration process across the state.

Reaffirming the APC’s commitment to good governance, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said the party remained focused on delivering sustainable development and improving the welfare of the people.

According to him, his administration has recorded significant achievements under the APC platform, leading to noticeable socio-economic and infrastructural transformation in the state.

“The guiding principle of our APC administration is to improve conditions beyond what we inherited. Anyone in doubt only needs to reflect on the state of affairs in Gombe about seven years ago to appreciate how far we have come,” he said.

The governor acknowledged the support of the party and the people of Gombe State, describing the APC as solidly rooted in the state’s political landscape.

He assured that, as leader of the party in the state, he would continue to provide purposeful leadership and direction towards achieving greater electoral victories, adding that the digital registration exercise would further strengthen the APC’s capacity to win elections at all levels.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya also warned against acts capable of undermining party unity, stressing that the APC leadership would not hesitate to impose sanctions on individuals found engaging in mischief or activities that threaten the stability of the party.

Earlier, the Gombe State APC Chairman, Mr. Nitte Amangal, said the digital membership registration and revalidation exercise was designed to strengthen the party’s numerical base and improve its organisational efficiency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He noted that the governor’s participation in the exercise officially signalled its commencement across the state and called on party members at all levels to actively take part in the process.
