
The Adamawa State Government has reiterated that the existing ban on the use of motorcycles, motorbikes and electric motorcycles within the state capital remains in force.
In a public announcement issued on Wednesday, the government said the directive was still being strictly enforced as part of measures to maintain peace and enhance security in the state capital.
The statement clarified that only electric bicycles, bicycles and tricycles are permitted to operate within the metropolis.
Residents were advised to comply with the order, warning that violators would be sanctioned in accordance with the law.
The announcement was signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Peace and Security, Ahmed Lawan, who urged the public to cooperate with security agencies to ensure the effectiveness of the policy.
