Bauchi marks 50th anniversary as Gov. Bala unveils jubilee logo

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has unveiled the official logo for the state’s 50th anniversary, signalling the formal commencement of activities to mark the golden jubilee.

The unveiling took place on Thursday at the Government House, Bauchi.

Speaking at the event, Mohammed said the launch of the logo marked the beginning of a series of commemorative activities lined up across the state to celebrate five decades of Bauchi’s creation.

He said the anniversary celebrations would feature cultural programmes, traditional festivals and the iconic Durbar, among other events aimed at showcasing the state’s rich heritage and unity.

According to the governor, the golden jubilee represents a landmark moment in the history of Bauchi State and should serve as a period of reflection, renewal and recommitment to shared values.

Mohammed urged residents of the state to reaffirm their commitment to unity, peace and development, stressing the need to work collectively towards building a stronger and more prosperous Bauchi State for future generations.

The governor noted that the anniversary would also provide an opportunity to review the state’s journey so far and chart a sustainable path for continued growth and progress.
