BOGIS pioneer executive secretary resigns

The Pioneer Executive Secretary of the Borno Geographic Information Service, Engr. Adam Bukar Bababe, has resigned from his position.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Halima Abatcha, Bababe said his resignation was conveyed in a letter dated March 30, 2026.

He stated that his decision to step down was to enable him fully pursue personal assignments that require his full attention and resources.

Bababe expressed appreciation to the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, for the confidence reposed in him to serve as the pioneer executive secretary of the agency.

He described the opportunity as rare and significant, noting that it enabled him to contribute to the enhancement of land administration and management in the state in line with the 25-Year Development Plan of the present administration.

According to the statement, Bababe has handed over the affairs of the agency to the Legal Adviser, Barrister Mustapha Ali Ibrahim, who assumed leadership in an acting capacity on Wednesday.

The statement noted that the handover took place on April 1, 2026.
