
Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested three suspected terrorists in Adamawa State, foiling a planned attack on military formations in Mubi.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out by troops of the 232 Battalion in collaboration with local hunters during a late-night raid in Mubi North Local Government Area, following credible intelligence reports.
The sources said the suspects were apprehended during the operation, adding that preliminary investigations indicated their alleged links to terrorist activities within the area.
According to the sources, one of the suspects reportedly confessed to involvement in previous attacks and plans targeting military formations in the Mubi axis.
They added that the suspects are currently in custody while investigations continue to determine the extent of their involvement in terrorist activities.
The sources further noted that security forces had intensified surveillance and other proactive measures to strengthen safety and prevent attacks across the region.
