The state council of the Nigeria union Journalists NUJ on Tuesday in Jalingo,paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Army commander Brigadier general Frank Etim in his office
The leadership of the Nigeria union of Journalists Taraba state council has paid a desensitization visit to Commander of Nigeria Army of Taraba state command Brigadier general Frank Etim .
The aim of the visit is to create strong mutual understanding between the the gentlemen of the press and the Nigeria Army and also to seek for collaboration to fight against insecurity in the state.
In his speech during the visit the Chairman of the Nigeria union of journalists Taraba state council Comrade Mathew Eliud Jen expressed excitement toward the efforts put in place by the Nigeria Army in making sure terrorism and other acts of criminality are tackled headlong in the country.
The chairman further added that his team are working assiduously to making sure that vital and crucial information are provided towards the promotion of peace and unity in the Taraba state and the county at large
Comrade Eliud Jen further assured of the unions continuous synergy and harmonious working relationships,with the security agencies which according to him will create a conducive atmosphere between them
Responding Brigadier general Frank Etim who spoke off camera expressed gratitude with the NUJ executive council also described Journalists and military personnels as partners and tool of promoting peace and unity in the nation ,.
He also assured the NUJ Taraba state council of full collaboration and partnership in other to unravelled criminals in the state .
