The Bank of Industry (BOI) has clarified that tertiary institution staff whose Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF) application status still reads “Loan Disbursement in Progress” will be required to submit fresh applications once the ongoing portal update is completed.
The clarification was provided by BOI officials through the bank’s customer care service and email responses to enquiries by applicants.
According to the bank, the first batch of TISSF applications has been successfully concluded and the application window has been closed.
BOI explained that it is currently updating the portal to accommodate fresh applications for the second batch of the intervention programme.
The bank further stated that applications from the first phase will no longer be processed under the new application cycle, meaning affected applicants whose disbursement was not completed will have to reapply after the portal update is concluded.
The clarification comes amid growing concerns among tertiary institution staff following the reopening of the TISSF portal for a second batch of applications.
Applicants have been advised to await the completion of the portal update before submitting new applications under the second phase of the scheme.
