Today, June 19th, 2024, marks a significant milestone for HRH Lamido Fombina, Alh Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo (PhD CFR), as he celebrates 14 years since his coronation as the 12th Lamido of Adamawa Emirate.
On this day in 2010, the then Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Vice Admiral Murtala H. Nyako (rtd), presented Lamido Fombina with the Staff of Office, succeeding his late father, Alh. Dr. Aliyu Mustapha (CBE, CFR, LLD), the 11th Lamido Fombina.
Over the past 14 years, Lamido Fombina has worked tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and development in the emirate, building on the legacy of his father. His reign has been marked by significant achievements in education, healthcare, and economic growth.
