Borno Lawmaker Kicks Off Annual Farm Input Distribution in Constituency

In a bid to support the agricultural development and enhance the livelihoods of his constituents, Hon. Mukhtar Betara Aliyu, a lawmaker representing the Biu, Bayo, Shani, and Kwaya-Kusar Federal Constituency, on Saturday commenced the distribution of certified farm inputs to farmers in his constituency.

The distribution exercise, which is an annual tradition in Hon. Aliyu’s culture, kicked off in Kwaya-Kusar Local Government Area, where thousands of farmers benefited from the initiative.

The program is expected to be replicated in Biu, Bayo, and Shani Local Government Areas, respectively.

According to Hon. Aliyu, the aim of the program is to enhance the livelihoods of his constituents through food and habitat, and build strong economies through trade.

He expressed confidence that the initiative will yield positive results at harvest time, improving the overall well-being of the farmers and their communities.
