The Borno State Museum and Zoo has been severely affected by the recent flood disaster, resulting in the loss of over 80% of the animals, including some deadly species. The General Manager, Hon. Ali Abatcha Don Best, announced in a press released on Monday that the flood has caused significant damage to properties and loss of lives.
Of greater concern, the General Manager warned that some deadly animals, including crocodiles and snakes, have been washed away into nearby communities. He urged the public to exercise extreme caution and take necessary precautions to avoid these animals.
The General Manager expressed regret, concern, and a sense of responsibility, ensuring the safety and protection of the remaining living things within his jurisdiction.
He called on citizens to pray for quick relief from Almighty Allah and to turn back to Him in this difficult time.
