Taraba Governor Presents 2025 Budget of Transformation to House of Assembly

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Monday presented the 2025 budget, aptly titled the “Budget of Transformation,” to the State House of Assembly, presided over by Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena.

The budget, with an estimate of ₦429.9 billion, reflects the administration’s commitment to creating a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable state. Of the total estimate, ₦266 billion, representing 61.5%, has been allocated to capital expenditure, while ₦160 billion, constituting 38.1%, is earmarked for recurrent expenditure.

Addressing the assembly, the Governor emphasized that the 2025 budget builds on the successes of the 2024 fiscal year and aligns with the goals of the Taraba Master Development Plan.

Strategic areas of focus include education, job creation, infrastructure development, agriculture, security, and tourism.

“We are ready and determined to deliver on our promises as we have done steadily in the months past,” the Governor stated, calling on residents to rally behind the administration’s pro-people initiatives.

The Governor concluded by reaffirming the administration’s resolve to drive forward the “Moving Forward” agenda, designed to propel Taraba State into a new era of growth and development.
