Borno State has commenced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Bootcamp for secondary school students, an initiative under Governor Babagana Zulum’s 25-year development plan.
The program, organized by the Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA) in collaboration with Mazeeton ICT Hub, aims to equip 24 students with advanced technological skills over a three-month period.
Speaking at the launch on Monday, BICTDA’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Mohammed Ahmed Kabir Wanori, described the program as a step towards creating opportunities for citizens through digital transformation. A distinguished guest, Dr. Mustapha Tijjani, emphasized its importance, stating, “This Bootcamp empowers young minds with AI and ML skills, fostering innovation and economic growth.”
