JAMB Releases Names of 2025 UTME Top Scorers

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Tuesday announced the top scorers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with Okeke Chinedu Christian emerging as the highest scorer with 375 marks.

Speaking at the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said Okeke, who hails from Anambra State, chose the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to study Mechanical Engineering.

Oloyede also disclosed that Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State came second with a score of 374. He selected Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) and also applied for Mechanical Engineering.

The third top scorer, Abdulmalik Olayinka Jimoh from Kwara State, scored 373 and also opted for Mechanical Engineering at UNILAG.

According to JAMB, all three top candidates in this year’s UTME are male.
