The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed a total of ₦198,974,000 to the Federal University Lokoja for 1,665 students under the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Fund said the payment represents its ongoing commitment to supporting Nigerian students and expanding access to quality higher education across the country.
According to NELFUND, the initiative is part of the Federal Government’s broader effort to ease the financial burden on students and promote inclusiveness in tertiary education.
The Fund reaffirmed its resolve to continue timely disbursement of student loans to eligible institutions, ensuring that beneficiaries have the financial support required to pursue their academic goals.
It also urged students in other approved institutions to complete their application processes through the NELFUND portal to benefit from subsequent disbursements.
