In a ceremony held on Wednesday, Adamawa State Governor, represented by Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, swore in 13 new Permanent Secretaries. The governor emphasized the importance of the appointees prioritizing the state’s interests in their respective ministries.
The selection process for the new Permanent Secretaries involved a successful examination conducted by the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), ensuring a rigorous and merit-based appointment.
Deputy Governor Farauta urged the newly appointed officials to transcend tribal or local government affiliations and work together as a unified Adamawa State family. He stressed the collaborative effort needed to support Governor Ahmadu Fintiri in the development and progress of the state.
The newly inaugurated Permanent Secretaries are Mundi Musa Ibrahim, Adama Maman, Dogara Musa, Fibian Wambai, Abubakar Umar Maiha, Oliver Gani, and Zira Bubanani. Also joining them are Kwaji Duguri, Ruth Hurum, Makalan Akila, Tanimu Buba, Heidi Edgar Amos, and Mohammad Amin Suleiman.
In a related development, Mahmud Saeed was inaugurated as the sole administrator of the Gere Bakari Development Area. This move is seen as part of the government’s commitment to strengthening local governance structures for effective service delivery.
