The Adamawa Police Command has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying an elderly woman found wandering around the Doubeli axis of Yola North Local Government Area.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said in a statement on Monday that the woman appeared to be of unsound mind and was discovered in a vulnerable condition by residents.
He said the woman had been taken into temporary care at a safe location within the Doubeli area while efforts were ongoing to trace her family or relatives.
Nguroje urged anyone with useful information that could aid in identifying the woman to report to the nearest police station.
He also provided a contact number — 0803 756 6284 — for members of the public who may be able to assist.
The PPRO assured residents of the Command’s commitment to protecting all persons, particularly vulnerable individuals.
