Adamawa Senator Distributes 3,500 Bags Of Rice To 4,000 Constituents

In his bid to provide succor to his teaming constituents against the devastating effects of the current economic downturn, the Senator representing the Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Amos K. Yohanna has rounded off the distribution of about 3,500 bags of rice across the five Local Government Areas of his Senatorial District.

A statement signed by his Senior Legislative Aide,Victor Kwambuge PhD, quoted the Senator to have said,the gesture was part of his welfare projects geared towards ameliorating the hardship experienced nationwide.

Among the target beneficiaries were the poor and vulnerable groups comprising of widows, orphans, physically challenged groups, and other low income earners selected from the fifty seven (57) wards in Adamawa North Senatorial District.

The Senator, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, lamented the exponential hike in the price of food stuffs in the market and assured his constituents of the commitment of government to addressing the plights of poor.

He further assured his constituents that more projects are being designed to provide them relief and urged his constituents to support the laudable programmes and policies as he is working round the clock to attract development to the Senatorial District.
