The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved a budget proposal and appropriation bill for the 2025 fiscal year, amounting to over N486 billion.
The approval was granted during the council’s meeting held on Wednesday at the chambers of the Government House in Yola. The meeting was presided over by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. James Iliya, disclosed that the 2025 budget proposal is tagged “The Budget of Service.” He said the government remains committed to delivering impactful services to the people of the state.
Iliya further revealed that the council approved over N186 million for the procurement and conversion of a residential property into a High Court in Madagali Local Government Area. He explained that the initiative underscores the government’s efforts to improve access to judicial and litigation services in Madagali and other parts of the state.
The commissioner noted that the 2025 budget focuses on strategic areas to enhance development and strengthen governance in Adamawa State.
