Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has inaugurated a visitation panel for Sa’adu Zungur University, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to improving the educational sector across Bauchi State.
This initiative, Governor Mohammed has said, is part of a comprehensive effort to address the challenges facing higher education institutions and ensure they meet the needs of both students and staff.
In his address during the inauguration on Tuesday, Governor Bala emphasized the increased investment in the education sector since the start of his administration, noting the significant rise in the education budget, which underscores the administration’s prioritization of educational development.
He,however, recalled the recently concluded education summit, which gathered stakeholders to discuss pressing issues and formulate strategic plans for advancing education in the state.
Governor Bala acknowledged the challenges within Sa’adu Zungur University, particularly the strained relationship between the university management and staff. In response to these concerns, the visitation panel has been tasked with investigating the underlying causes of the discord and providing actionable solutions.
Mohammed expressed confidence in the panel’s ability to bring about positive changes, urging its members to leverage their expertise to address the issues effectively.
The panel will be chaired by Professor Gambo Laraba, a respected academic with a distinguished background in educational administration.
Her leadership is according to Mohammed, expected to guide the panel in addressing the university’s challenges and fostering a more collaborative and productive environment.
He reiterated his administration’s broader goals for the education sector, which include improving staff welfare, expanding course accreditation, and ensuring that educational institutions operate at the highest standards.
Governor Bala reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and progressive educational system that benefits all stakeholders.
