Bauchi Gov Reshuffles Cabinate, Sack Five Commissioner’s

Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved a cabinet reshuffle, which includes the sacking of five commissioners, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.

This was disclosed in a press release issued on Monday by Mr. Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor.

The commissioners affected by the reshuffle are:

1. Dr. Jamila Dahiru – Commissioner of Education


2. Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu – Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs


3. Comrade Usman Danturaki – Commissioner of Information and Communication


4. Prof. Simon Madugu Yalams – Commissioner of Agriculture


5. Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza – Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation

The governor commended the outgoing commissioners for their dedication and invaluable contributions to the administration’s developmental strides. He also wished them success in their future endeavors.

“This cabinet reshuffle is a routine exercise aimed at injecting fresh ideas and renewed energy into the administration to address emerging challenges effectively,” the statement read.

As part of the reshuffle, Mohammed has submitted the names of eight nominees to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for security clearance and confirmation as commissioners.

The nominees include:

1. Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government


2. Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government


3. Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass Local Government


4. Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government


5. Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa Balewa Local Government


6. Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah – Tafawa Balewa Local Government


7. Hon. Adamu Babayo Gabarin – Darazo Local Government


8. Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government

Gov. Mohammed reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance and improving the welfare of the people of Bauchi State.
