Gov. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has urged citizens, especially youths, to embrace agriculture as a means of ensuring food security, creating jobs and boosting the economy.
Mohammed made the call during a weekend visit to his private farm in Bauchi, where he inspected crop growth and assessed cultivation progress.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the yield recorded so far, describing agriculture as key to harnessing the state’s vast fertile land for socio-economic development.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting farmers through favourable policies, improved infrastructure and targeted initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and ensuring a sustainable agricultural future for the state.
