Bauchi Governor Requests Assembly to Confirm Three Commissioner Nominees

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has requested the State House of Assembly to confirm three Commissioner nominees.

The request was made in a letter dated August 13, 2024, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Ibrahim Kashim.

The nominees submitted for approval include:

1. Engr. Mohammed Binni Abdulkadir from Itas/Gadau LGA, nominated to replace Hajara Jibrin Gidado, who recently resigned to contest for the position of LG chairman.
2. Sani Mohammed Dambam from Dambam LGA, nominated to replace the late Ahmed Aliyu Jalam, who passed away in a car accident two months ago.
3. Zainab Baban Takko from Bauchi Local Government, nominated to replace Mahmood Babamaji, who recently resigned to contest for the PDP ticket for the chairmanship of his LGA.

The letter reads: “I am pleased to convey to you and the Honourable House the warm greetings of His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, CON, and to inform you that he has approved the submission of the following persons for confirmation as Honourable Commissioners and Members of the State Executive Council.”

The nominees’ CVs were also included in the letter for the Assembly’s consideration.
