Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of women in the state through empowerment initiatives. He made this pledge on Monday during a courtesy visit from the Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, at the Government House in Bauchi.
Governor Bala emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Federal Government to implement programs and policies promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. He highlighted various efforts his administration has made, including vocational training, microfinance schemes, and education programs, to enhance women’s status in society.
The Governor also mentioned the establishment of a gender desk to address gender-based violence and other gender-related issues, calling for continued collaboration to ensure its success.
Minister Kennedy-Ohanenye praised Governor Bala for his commitment and passion to women’s empowerment and promoting gender equality. She assured that the Federal Government will collaborate to ensure the implementation of policies and programs beneficial to women.
