Breaking: Sen. Kaka Shehu Joins Borno Governorship Race, Picks APC Nomination Form

Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan has picked the nomination form to contest the next governorship election in Borno State, confirming his entry into the race ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) primary.
Lawan, who represents Borno Central Senatorial District in the Senate, is currently serving his second term at the National Assembly.
His entry makes him one of the early aspirants seeking to succeed the outgoing administration, coming shortly after Engr. Mustapha Gubio declared his interest in the governorship contest.
Political activities within the APC in Borno have begun to intensify as aspirants obtain nomination forms and commence consultations with party stakeholders ahead of the primary election.
The purchase of nomination forms marks the initial stage of the party’s electoral process, which will be followed by screening, consultations and the conduct of party primaries to determine the party’s candidate.
Sen. Lawan has yet to publicly unveil his campaign agenda, while more aspirants are expected to join the race in the coming months as preparations for the election gather momentum.
