Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed on Thursday approved the immediate payment of N10,000 wage award to all categories of civil servants.
This gesture is meant to provide additional resources for the workers to celebrate Eid el-Kabir, which comes amidst challenging economic times.
According to the Head of Civil Service, Yahuza Haruna, the governor’s approval is a testament to his commitment to improving the welfare of civil servants. The payment is expected to enable workers to celebrate the festive season with their families despite the economic hardship.
The Head of Civil Service also commended the governor for his continued support, which has enabled the state workforce to perform their duties efficiently.
He urged workers to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to their duties and improving their performance.
