Gov. Bala Attends Iran’s 47th National Day Celebration

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has attended the 47th National Day celebration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held in Abuja.

The governor was received by the Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Mahdavi Raja, who led him on a courtesy tour to exchange pleasantries with diplomats and other distinguished guests from various countries present at the event.

Speaking to journalists after the celebration, Mohammed commended the Islamic Republic of Iran for its notable developmental achievements across critical sectors of its economy.

He said Bauchi State enjoys a strong and cordial relationship with Iran, founded on mutual respect and shared development goals.

The governor disclosed that Bauchi State is currently engaging an Iranian firm on a collaborative initiative aimed at boosting investment and development in the agricultural sector.

According to him, the partnership is designed to leverage Iran’s technical expertise to enhance agricultural productivity, strengthen value chains and create sustainable economic opportunities for the people of Bauchi State.

Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to exploring international partnerships that will drive economic growth and improve the livelihoods of residents of the state.

The event attracted diplomats, government officials and other dignitaries who gathered to celebrate with the Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
