Gov. Bala Unveils BMCC Logo, Seals Partnership with China’s Shandong Group

Bauchi State Government has formally unveiled the logo of BMCC Nigeria Ltd., marking a milestone in its economic transformation agenda through a strategic joint venture with China’s Shandong Minsheng Group.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who performed the unveiling ceremony at the Government House in Bauchi on Tuesday, described the initiative as a bold step toward diversifying the state’s economy and unlocking its natural resource potential.

The BMCC logo, which blends traditional Bauchi cultural motifs with modern industrial aesthetics, symbolizes innovation, unity, and cross-cultural cooperation.

The newly established BMCC Nig. Ltd is expected to spearhead the development of Bauchi State’s mining and natural resources sector, with emphasis on environmentally responsible practices and local capacity development.

Governor Mohammed assured the Chinese delegation of his administration’s full support, including infrastructural backing, administrative facilitation, and investor protection. He pledged to maintain a business-friendly environment with strong security and regulatory efficiency.

“This partnership is a strategic move aligned with our vision for sustainable development, job creation, and economic growth,” the governor said.

In her remarks, the Managing Director of Shandong Minsheng Group thanked the Bauchi State Government for the warm reception and pledged the company’s commitment to deploying advanced technology to drive the project.

Mr. Paul, head of the Chinese technical exploration team, confirmed that preliminary geological assessments are already ongoing in Dass and Toro Local Government Areas, adding that the group is also exploring future investments in agriculture and energy.

BMCC Nig. Ltd is expected to serve as a flagship model of Sino-African cooperation, focusing on innovation-led resource extraction, environmental sustainability, and inclusive development.

The joint venture is backed by the governments of Bauchi State and Shandong Province and aims to meet international best practices while delivering long-term socio-economic benefits to host communities.
