Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving transportation infrastructure by constructing additional bypasses to alleviate traffic congestion on major roads.
During a meeting with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) management on Tuesday, led by Mr. Chidibere Okwonja, Governor Bala emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state government and the newly established Bauchi State Road Traffic Agency (BAROTA) to enhance road safety and ease traffic flow.
The Governor highlighted the significance of BAROTA in securing roads and implementing innovative traffic management solutions to reduce accidents and fatalities, positioning Bauchi as a gateway to northern states with improved road safety measures.
Governor Bala expressed his administration’s dedication to providing necessary resources for road development, citing the construction of over five thousand kilometers of roads in collaboration with the World Bank. He pledged to continue building more roads to benefit the people of Bauchi State and enhance transportation efficiency.
In response, Mr. Chidibere commended Governor Bala for his support and performance, assuring continued partnership between FRSC and the state government to enhance road safety, minimize congestion, and address transportation challenges effectively.
