Governor Agbu Kefas, of Taraba State has again emphasised the importance of diligence and dedication among members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.
Kefas stated this in an address during the opening ceremony of the Batch A Stream 1 orientation course at the permanent orientation camp in Sibere, Ardo-kola Local Government Area of the state.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Joshua Joseph, the governor highlighted his administration’s commitment to the welfare of corps members and urged them to actively participate in scheduled training activities and lectures.
He encouraged NYSC members to embrace diversity and foster national unity by interacting with peers from different backgrounds.
Kefas also pledged support for the development of key sectors such as education, agriculture, sports, tourism, healthcare services, and infrastructure. He urged Corps members to contribute to the improvement of these sectors.
The Taraba State Coordinator of NYSC, Anthony Nzuka, emphasised the significance of the orientation course and urged corps members to actively participate in the activities lined up for the exercise.
During the ceremony, 1,475 corps members took an oath administered by the Chief Judge of Taraba State, Justice Filibus Agya, represented by Justice Nuhu Adi.
