The Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has congratulated Professor Adamu Ahmed Ningi on his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity on Friday, Mukhtar Gidado, Governor Mohammed described the appointment as a recognition of Professor Ningi’s dedication, academic excellence, and contributions to the field of Urban and Regional Planning.
The governor noted that as a former Commissioner for Lands under his administration, Professor Ningi played a key role in shaping policies that transformed Bauchi State’s urban and regional planning sector.
“At Ahmadu Bello University, he has been a pillar of academic excellence, mentoring countless scholars and professionals. His new role is well-earned, and we have no doubt that under his leadership, ABU Zaria will reach even greater heights,” the statement read.
Governor Mohammed assured Professor Ningi of the support of the government and people of Bauchi State and expressed confidence that he would bring his experience and dedication to the advancement of higher education, research, and national development.
He prayed for Almighty Allah’s guidance and success in his new role.
