Gov. Mohammed Inaugurates Peace Advocacy Committee For Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro

Gov. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi State has inaugurated the Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Imams and Pastors Peace Builders Forum as part of efforts to strengthen peaceful coexistence in the two local government areas.

Speaking at the inauguration on Monday, Mohammed said peace remained the foundation of sustainable growth and development, urging stakeholders to work collectively to promote harmony across ethnic and religious divides.

He cautioned against individuals attempting to incite division and assured that his administration was committed to delivering democratic dividends in an atmosphere of peace and stability.

The governor noted that the forum would serve as a platform for dialogue, tolerance, and reconciliation, adding that his government would provide support to enable it to sensitize communities effectively.

The forum is co-chaired by Imam Faizu Ado Tafawa Balewa and Rev. Father Vincent Bature.

Both leaders pledged to engage communities in the two LGAs in fostering tolerance, unity, and stability. They also commended the governor for his commitment to peacebuilding initiatives.
