Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed says his administration is enhancing its partnership with the Federal Government and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), to ensure poverty is conquered and food is put on the table.
Mohammed made this known on Monday in Abuja, during the opening of the Compact Development Workshop for the System Transformation Grant (STG) for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), with Bauchi, Kebbi Abia, Kwara, Akwa Ibom and Lagos states shortlisted to receive the multi-billion grant.
Mohammed told the participants that his administration has clarified crucial aspects under his Project, which brings innovation to enhance enrollment, retention, performance, completion and transition.
He, however, pledged to address truancy at schools through technology with support of community leaders, saying the overstretched educational system, inadequate infrastructure will be resolved.
