Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has on Friday inaugurated four vehicles to support key government ministries.
The vehicles, provided through the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project—a World Bank-assisted initiative—are set to enhance activities within the Ministries of Housing and Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture, as well as the ACReSAL Project Coordinator’s office in Bauchi State.
The ACReSAL Project focuses on environmental sustainability, water resource management, and agricultural development, addressing crucial sectors for the state’s resilience against climate challenges.
Speaking, Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and the World Bank for their continued support. He emphasized that his administration is committed to leveraging such interventions to deliver the benefits of democracy to Bauchi residents.
He, however, urged the line ministries to utilize the vehicles effectively to maximize their impact.
Dr. Kabir Ibrahim, the ACReSAL Project Coordinator for Bauchi State, highlighted the essential role these vehicles will play in advancing the project’s objectives across the state.
On his part, the Commissioner of Housing and Environment, Danlami Ahmad Kawule, thanked Governor Mohammed for his sustained support for the ACReSAL Project and other initiatives, pledging that the vehicles would be used to their fullest potential.
