
Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has observed the Eid prayer in Saudi Arabia while performing the lesser Hajj (Umrah).
The governor joined millions of Muslims in the Holy Land to mark the special occasion, seeking divine blessings and guidance for himself, the people of Bauchi, and Nigeria at large.
In his Eid message, Mohammed felicitated with Muslims worldwide, emphasizing the significance of Eid as a period of spiritual renewal, forgiveness, and gratitude. He underscored the importance of the celebration in fostering unity and strengthening faith among adherents of Islam.
The governor prayed for Allah’s mercy, peace, and economic prosperity for Bauchi State and Nigeria. He also urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and committed to the principles of justice and equity.
He highlighted the virtues of sacrifice, patience, and kindness as core Islamic teachings and encouraged Muslims to use the festive period to support the less privileged, promote unity, and strengthen communal ties.
Mohammed further called for collective efforts in building a peaceful and prosperous nation, stressing the need for tolerance, mutual respect, and national cohesion. He urged leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of the people and work towards creating opportunities for economic growth and social development.
