Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Friday, May 26, 2024, visited the esteemed elder statesman and former military administrator, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd), at his residence in Minna, Niger State capital.
The visit was aimed at seeking the seasoned leader’s sage advice, guidance, and wisdom on governance and state matters. Governor Mohammed was accompanied by his Niger State counterpart, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, and other top government officials.
During the visit, Governor Mohammed also conveyed his condolences to General Babangida over the demise of late General Garba Duba, who served as a military administrator in Bauchi and Sokoto states.
The meeting was seen as a significant gesture of respect and admiration for General Babangida’s leadership and experience, and an opportunity for Governor Mohammed to tap into his wealth of knowledge and insight.
