Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering economic collaboration and attracting foreign investment as he hosted the Portuguese Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Martins Santos Paulo, Sunday evening.
Speaking earlier, Ambassador Paulo acknowledged Portugal’s strong ties with Nigeria, particularly in infrastructure, energy, commerce, industry, and agriculture.
He expressed interest in deepening cooperation with Bauchi State in areas of mutual benefit and commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his dedication to building strategic partnerships.
Responding, Mohammed assured the ambassador that Bauchi State remains open for investment, highlighting shared interests with Portugal in tourism, agriculture, healthcare, education, energy, commerce, and industry.
He invited the Portuguese government and investors to explore the state’s vast economic potential.
Mohammed, however, announced Bauchi State’s upcoming investment summit, encouraging Portugal to participate and leverage the platform to drive sustainable economic growth and development.
